Funded Projects
Phuket Has Been Good To Us (PHBGTU) Computer Lab
Living Waters Phuket Foundation have completed their second fully funded project for Phuket Has Been Good To Us (PHBGTU).
The Foundation provided funding to allow for over 500 disadvantaged students to have IT equipment for their new lab in Phuket. The IT equipment was delivered to the PHBGTU computer lab at their Kamala school. Equipment funded by Living Waters Phuket included printers, laptops and headsets.
This funded project will help these disadvantaged children; allowing for teachers, volunteers and administrators to be able to deliver enhanced computer lessons in the new hub as well as now being able to offer after school computer hub classes.
This initiative aims to help students progress further with their education, giving them a brighter future for employment options, thus helping their families and communities also.
This grant to provide IT equipment for the new computer hub for this children’s charity is now complete and we look forward to the enhanced computer lessons and experiences the children can now receive. All of the laptops, printers and headsets were funded, delivered and set up.
PHBGTU is a registered charity in Thailand. Their five English teachers provide free English education to over 700 underprivileged Thai children in government schools in Phuket. Over 200 of these students live in dormitories at the Kamala School because they are unable to live at home or do not have a place to call home. To give these children nurturing support while living away from family, the charity runs the Coconut Club, which is an after-school programme where teachers and volunteers organize arts & crafts, games, cooking and practice English with the children.
