Living Waters Phuket Foundation – Building Brighter Futures
Just over 1 month since establishing this Foundation, we are overwhelmed by the support and work that has taken place in such a short time. Here’s what we have been up to in the last week:
Networking With Community Leaders Update:
1. Living Waters Phuket Foundation met with the District Chief of Muang District to discuss and understand more about in-need community projects.
2. The Foundation also met with the President of the Phuket Red Cross to talk through the subject of mobility issues in seniors living in Phuket.
Food Security Update:
Life Bag Packing / Distribution Update
Over 2,200 Life Bags were packed and distributed to Phuket and the surrounding areas in the last week alone:
- UWCT Service Learning students packed 500 Life Bags; these were delivered on Saturday 20th November
- 5 Star Marine packed 500 Life Bags which were delivered on Saturday 20th November
- Volunteers packed 200 Life Bags which were delivered on Saturday 20th November
- Volunteers packed a further 500 Life Bags which were delivered on the 22nd November
- 5 Star Marine packed 500 Life Bags which were delivered on the 25th November

Latest Aid / Grant News:
Kathu Wittya School
The Sustainable Education on Farming and Food Production project is now complete and an official opening ceremony will be held on Friday 26th November 2021.
Phuket Has Been Good To Us
The grant to provide IT equipment for teachers, volunteers, and administrators for this children’s charity is now complete – all IT equipment has been funded, delivered, and set up.
The Good Shepherd
Living Waters Phuket has approved a grant for The Good Shepherd for Solar Panel Installation for the Good Shepherd Phuket Town (GSPT) Learning Centre.
Life Home Project
The Board has approved the application to provide funding for educational opportunities for HIV-positive Thai Children.
Tambon Phunai Koh Yao Yai
An urgent grant request was received and approved to fund 25 orphan students to attend school for the next 12 months. Funding has been provided.
Weekly Summary
The Foundation continued to foster relationships in the community while distributing Super Life Bags and packing Life Bags efforts carried on. We have completed project grant applications, approved a number of new initiatives with funding requirements, and received new grant applications to consider for future funding.
We are delighted to have a Weeboon account that is starting to receive donations to raise funds for sustainable food security, education, and helping those affected by the Pandemic back into employment.
