Living Waters Phuket Foundation – Building Brighter Futures

Living Waters Phuket continued to pack and distribute Life Bags, through this challenging week where the dire need has once again increased. Unfortunately, this is mainly due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant which is having a detrimental effect on the improving situation we had just started to see in Phuket and Thailand as a whole.

With the high season now forced to end prematurely; from the postponement of Test and Go which has drastically affected tourism numbers, with higher cancellation rates expected, the spread of the new variant, and increased community quarantines – we are now seeing a serious impact on the tourism sector as a whole. This leads to a negative impact on revenue generation during the normal ‘high season’ and the ramifications of all of this combined is that the communities we support need more help now from us, right now.
